Association chronicle 

Everything began with twelve singers and an accordion player.
They appeared on 16 February 1983 on the occasion of the 75-jährigen of existence
of the Federal Railroads social work (BSW) under the direction of Ilse Nottelmann spontaneously as
Eisenbahner-Shantychor.
After this successful beginning one remained first as
BSW-Shantychor „Kap-Horn-Sänger von 1982
together. On 30 April 1983 the first public appearance was in the Niebüller town hall.  
Starting from 1993 then the final name became:

registered association “   registered in the register of associations. 
 The choir constantly became larger with new singers and musicians, and extended
also continuously his repertoire.  Followed numerous appearances, which led the choir
of Wyk on Föhr and Rantrum on Sylt in the Rhine country and to Austria.  From 1982 to in the middle of the choir had 2005 over 550 appearances, for which in approx. 600 exercise evenings one had practiced. In October 2002 the choir with friends and fans
could celebrate its 20-year old existence in the sold off Niebüller town hall.  
At present the choir has 40 active singers and 4 musicians.
